Many have asked me this question, so I thought it posting my response here would be helpful. First off, I still have more treatments ahead - five and a half weeks of daily radiation- but it’s all to make sure that the cancer does not come back. I am at this point being treated as a person Free of Disease! Everything we do is forward looking and geared towards a cancer free life for the next 50+ years. Once radiation is done, I will rest for a few weeks and then start reconstruction which will most likely take a few week’s between augmenting the expanders and then the ultimate swap to the permanent set of implants. Ultimately I’m looking forward to getting and feeling stronger and getting back to my healthy active self. this summer can’t come quick enough so I can get outside and start walking and running again.
